Sheheryar Munawar finally breaks silence on marriage rumours
Popular actor Sheheryar Munawar has finally addressed the swirling rumours about his possible marriage to fellow actor Maheen Siddiqui. While he neither confirmed nor denied the speculation, Munawar expressed his gratitude and asked for prayers.
"Alhamdulillah I’m grateful. I’m very grateful. I’m happy. Allah has been kind, and the parents are very happy," Munawar shared in a recent interview on the FWhy Podcast with Frieha Altaf. “Exciting times are ahead, and I would ask everyone to say a little prayer for us. I just feel, as I’ve mentioned before, that I want this to be a very personal experience for both of us… and private.
On the other hand, in clips of an old interview that have gone viral, Munawar also reflected on societal issues. He discussed the emotional suppression and double standards imposed on Pakistani men from a young age. According to Munawar, boys are taught not to cry or express pain, which leads to emotional detachment and sometimes abusive behaviour in adulthood.
"When men are conditioned to hide their pain, they often become harsh and may contribute to domestic violence," he explained. He pointed out that this emotional suppression starts in childhood and continues into adulthood, where men are expected to be stoic and resilient, even in challenging times.
