Lahore police arrest robbers of German tourist
The police have arrested three robbers who allegedly tortured and looted a German tourist in Lahore five days ago.
The police arrested the three accused from Barki and Ghaziabad areas of Lahore on Tuesday.
The police also recovered a camera and mobile phone of the German national, who was camping in a park near the airport when the dacoits beat him up and robbed him of his valuables.
Earlier, on the orders of Capital City Police Officer (CCPO) Lahore, four Dolphin officers were arrested for duty negligence and not taking an action regarding German tourist robbery.
Moreover, CCPO Bilal Siddique Kamayana also ordered registration of a case against the four Dolphin officials.
According to police sources the officials who arrived at the crime scene kept convincing the German citizen not to file a complaint. Sources said that Dolphin officials did not even inform any senior officer about the incident.
Dolphin officials calmed the German tourist without taking any action, police sources said.
Taking notice of the matter, CCPO Bilal Siddique called the officials to the office and locked them up.
The four officials were detained at he Civil Lines Police Station.
Among those arrested Dolphin officials Muzamil, Umair, Qasid and Hasnain are included.
However, the accused who committed the crime with the German tourist could not be caught by the police s far.
