Leave some cases for us as well, says Justice Mansoor Ali Shah
During a hearing in the Supreme Court, Justice Mansoor Ali Shah remarked that not all cases should be taken to constitutional courts and urged, "leave some for us."
The comments came during the hearing of the Sui Northern overbilling case, which was reviewed by a two-member bench comprising Justice Mansoor Ali Shah and Justice Aqeel Abbasi.
During the proceedings, the petitioner's lawyer noted that the case was still pending review and would go to a constitutional bench following the 26th amendment.
Justice Mansoor emphasised that there were no constitutional or legal questions involved in this case, advising that not every case should be sent to constitutional benches.
He suggested that some matters should remain with the Supreme Court.
Later, the court disposed of the Sui Northern overbilling case, stating that the petitioner could raise questions in the pending review case.
