Thousands of Sikhs participated in a Khalistan referendum organized by Sikhs for Justice in Calgary, Canada. The event, which began at 9 AM, saw long queues forming outside the voting center before the start of voting.

Due to high turnout, voting time was extended by one hour. Participants of all ages were present, with hundreds arriving by coaches. Organizers distributed water bottles and refreshments to those waiting in line.

Gurpatwant Singh Pannun, leader of Sikhs for Justice, addressed the participants via video link at the conclusion of the referendum. In his speech, Pannun emphasized non-violence and called for achieving their goals through voting power. He criticized the Indian government and Prime Minister Modi, accusing them of being responsible for violence in Punjab.

Throughout the day, participants chanted slogans in support of Khalistan and against India. Some artists performed songs supporting the Khalistan cause to the beat of drums.

The event organizers maintained that the referendum is their tool for seeking independence, with Pannun stating, "Khalistan referendum is our weapon.
