PIA to start Hajj flights from April 29
The Pakistan International Airport (PIA) has announced pre-Hajj flight operation 2025 to transport pilgrims to Saudi Arabia.
The first flight will take off on April 29 while the operation will continue till June 1. The national carrier would transport more than 56,000 Pakistani pilgrims through 280 special flights to Saudi Arabia.
Sources said 20,000 pilgrims under government Hajj scheme and 36,000 pilgrims under private Hajj quota will be taken to the Kingdom through PIA flights.
The national carrier will use Boeing 777 and Airbus 320 planes will be used for the pre-Hajj operations to make the travel comfortable for pilgrims.
The post-Hajj operation will commence from June 12 to July 10 as a coordinated flight system has been arranged to bring back Hajj pilgrims to the country.
Authorities said special arrangements have been made to ensure timely flights for the Hajj operation.
