The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has announced new operational guidelines aimed at enhancing data security and reducing fraud related to Computerised National Identity Cards (CNICs).

Effective immediately, citizens visiting NADRA centers are required to present only original documents, as photocopies will no longer be accepted for routine processes such as B-Forms and registration certificates.

NADRA clarified that referencing or guaranteeing with another person’s CNIC is now deemed legally invalid.

This initiative is part of NADRA’s ongoing efforts to improve transparency and combat identity fraud.

Clear signage detailing the updated procedures has been installed at all NADRA centers nationwide.
