The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) of Punjab has arrested 38 terrorists in a series of intelligence-based operations conducted across various cities of the province throughout the current month.

The CTD's operations, carried out in cities including Lahore, Rahim Yar Khan, Narowal, Rawalpindi, and Multan, were aimed at countering terrorism fears and preventing potential attacks. The crackdown extended to Jhang, Sargodha, Khanewal, Vehari, Bahawalpur, Lodhran, and Bahawalnagar.

Among the significant arrests, a banned Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) trained terrorist from Lodhran and a Daesh (militant Islamic State group) commander in Bahawalpur were apprehended.

During these operations, CTD officials seized a substantial cache of illegal items, including explosives, hand grenades, arms, mobile phones, and cash. The confiscated materials are believed to be part of the terrorists' plans to launch attacks on law enforcement agencies and other key installations.

In total, the CTD Punjab conducted 449 intelligence-based operations across the province this month, underscoring their commitment to maintaining security and countering extremist threats.
