A Quran teacher in Kasur allegedly burned a 10-year-old student with a hot iron as punishment for failing to memorize his lesson.

The incident took place in the rural area of Bangla Kamboan, where the victim, Shahzam, a resident of Thathi Bakhshwala, was enrolled at a local madrassa.

According to initial reports, the accused teacher, Qari Ghulam Abbas, used a heated iron to discipline the child, causing him severe burn injuries.

The injured student was immediately taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.

Upon receiving the report, police reached the scene and have initiated an inquiry into the matter.
